For a while many fans saw Discord as the closets thing to the devil but with the ravel of The Great King Sombra. The true face of evil appeared. A simple Unicorn with the gift for the greatest form of magic to ever exist and the power to control the very essence of darkness and sneak into your mind and rip out your very fears and turn your life into your own personal hell.
I'm beginning to see why they didn't go too in depth and let him meet each character face to face. It would of been the most morbid two parter ever in the history of mlp. Older or newer.
Love. This. Pic. Anyways, I'd like to know if I can use this in a civ V mod I've been working on. I use it in Sombra's loading screen and would like to have the blessings of all the artists whose work I used when I publish it to Steamworks.
Y'know, I liked him. I was honestly expecting some kind of borderline comedic maniacal stereotype, but he really came across as a terrible menace. I think it worked for him that he hardly ever spoke. It was a refreshing change of pace from all the talkative villains we've had on this show so far. It made him seem more like an insidious monstrous force of evil than just another scheming bad guy.
This guy is arguably THE most poorly used character ever, and in a show like MLP:FIM that may not mean much but for me it does. Here I was thinking up all sorts of possible awesome roles for him , leader of an army of crystal golems set to raise Equestria to the ground, a possible relationship with one of the princesses most likely Luna , father of Skyla or corrupter of the elements. I watched this episode only for him, I ignored the songs and childish things and waited for my piece of Sombra, and I get 2 minutes screen time and 15 spoken words. You people say he is like Sauron, I remember Sauron as a towering mountain of death dealing awesomeness not as an eye that floats above a tower and whispers stuff in your ear, he was good at that but never trully awesome ( I have never read the books, just watched the movies). Discord is still the character with the most developed personality, and that's saying much. Sombra was a painful dissapointment, but maybe I had too high expectations, maybe that's why A Canterlot Wedding surprised me, I wasn't expecting and epic clash but an entire episode filled with gut wrenching songs and dances. The only thing good about this guy was his voice and his return. Yes, return. When he is so disgustingly and anti-climatically blown to bits we can see his horn, the only thing left of him, flying away. And only the tip was needed to break down the shield, imagine what the whole thing would do. You can say as many thing as you want about my views, you may call me an egotistical, malevolant, cheeky, up-stuck SOB. You may call me the Killer of Santa and the Ravager of the Easter Bunny, I don't care. I need my spicy badassness to balance the sugar coated girly stuff or I'm gonna die of mental breakdown diabetes.
I've watching Prevails' drawings since the summer and I already saw this OC pony before, in his gallery, of course. A while ago, I've only seen 40-seconds worth of the sneak peek of Season 3, and these eyes appeared on one scene.
So tell me bronies, Who is the real creator that made this OC pony? If this evil unicorn was made by Equestria-Prevails, I will be damn surprised that Hasbro chose this fan-made character from a Deviant artist.
Sombra comes off as a Big-Brother type of tryant ruler. Look at the state of the Crystal Empire: the streets are just as pristine as ever, yet there is very little activity. Plus, all the citizens seem downtrodden, and in a constant state of depression. Plus, they don't ever talk about the King Sombra or what he did, or who he was... As if the very memory of him brought shivers up their spines.
Plus, if you recall, the Crystal Empire disappeared the same time that Luna went crazy. So was there a connection? Or did just a bunch of shit happen a thousand years previous?
Awesome villain. Who do you think should voice him?
