My goddness she looks badass. I like that she has bigger wings than most Pegasi too. She totally should have appeared in "Twilight's Kingdom". Oh, wait, Rainbow Dash was made because Faust could not get Firefly. Oh, but I can imagine, right?
"Know, O Princess, in the years between the union of the Three Tribes, and the rise of Discord, there was an age undreamed of, where shining kingdoms glittered like jewels across the world beneath the Sun and Moon:
Young Gilsdale, Griffonia and its old Empire, the Crystal Kingdom, the Tribal lands of the Zebras in the savannahs and jungles of the South, the hermit realm of Dream Valley, the Flutter ponies with their wise benevolent queen, their sinister cousins of the Fae the Changelings with their dark carapace and thirst for Love; the proud Minotours in the mountains, the Bee kin in their hive fortresses, the shadow city of Tambelon of the vile Sorcerer-King Grogar, to name a few...
And the proudest kingdom of all - the pony realm of Equestria, young and prosperous, a hegemony reigning supreme in the West with its magic over Harmony.
Hither came Firefly, the pegasus of Dream Valley, pink with youth, blue maned and haired, lightning bolts of sapphire adorning her flank. Adventurer, slayer, thief, renegade, conqueror of dark lords and mother of heroes, with true friends and great joy, to scour the blue skies over the green plains and golden cities of the world with beats of her mighty wings."
--- Chronicles of Firefly the Heroine by Amber Star the Sage, one of the few and most famous of texts that survived the reign of Discord from the Classical Pony period. (Shameless parody of Robert E Howard's "Conan the Barbarian" intro)
Really? Hmm, maybe it's me, maybe I'm so hotwired just to seekout the insect-hive stories that I just fail to see the fae, kelpie, Púca ones out there. But hey, as long as we're trying out a diverse range of ideas, that's fine by me. I've really got to read Mendacity some time, I guess.
